This popular small park is perfect for nearby families with young children. It has two swings and other climbing and sliding gear. Pet parents should be aware, however, that no dogs are allowed here as children like to play in the sand and roll around in the dirt.

Thrifton Hill Park

This local park is an easy going, forested natural area with trails along a stream, open green space & picnic tables.
The park also features nature trails and access to the Custis Trail, a biking and walking asphalt trail along Interstate 66 that connects to the W&OD Railroad Regional Park Trail and the Mount Vernon Trail at Roosevelt Island.
