Greenbrier Park
Greenbrier Park is situated on 18-acres, resides next to Yorktown High School, and is home to the school’s athletic fields.
The park’s features include:
- synthetic multi-use field with track
- lighted basketball courts
- lighted tennis courts
- 3 lighted diamond fields (two are permit only, one is permit takes priority)
- lighted synthetic rectangular field (permit takes priority)
The main diamond field has covered dugouts, a press box, a batting cage, and both home and visitor bleachers.
Park hours are from sunrise to sunset (except for lighted courts, which is 11 p.m.).
Chestnut Hills Park
This 4.43-acre neighborhood park primarily caters to families with small children. The park includes a climbing feature, slide and sand area.
Children and adults of all ages can play on paths that wind through a series of intertwined arches and games including find the letters, numbers, colors or shapes. Other play features include a wavy climbing feature, school bus, school house, slide, spinner and a music/sound column.
Rock Spring Park
Rock Spring Park is a hidden, 2-acre gem with quiet, wooded walking trails and beautiful gardens.
This dog-friendly park, integral to Arlington, contains a walking path a couple of blocks long. The path goes over a bridge where kids sometimes play. For most residents, the park is a short but refreshing walk in the shade.
